The Pond Tour is an opportunity for you to visit private garden ponds, to peek into the backyards of some of the prettiest gardens in the area. After you buy your ticket, you are provided directions to at least 10 ponds, starting with the ponds at the Silver Lake Nature Center. You set your own pace, drifting from pond to pond, meeting the homeowners, learning about their pond and gardens, and enjoying light refreshments. As a major fundraiser of the Friends of Silver Lake Nature Center, the Pond Tour provides revenue to support the educational programs of the Center, a win-win. You get a fun day exploring sights you would not be allowed to see at any other time while helping the Nature Center.
