Matt and I enjoyed the pond tour for many reasons. The tour was well planned and the directions were easy to follow. The imagination and creativity of the pond owners was inspiring, and their hospitality emphasized that "gardeners are nice folks." It was a delightful day and we can't wait until the next one.

This was my first Pond Tour, but will definitely not be my last. Even my “significant other”, a 40 + year- old business owner and avid hockey fan (who was initially hesitant to join me) had a fabulous time. We spent a lovely day together working as a team, navigating from one pond site to the next. It amazed us both how each pond had characteristics unique unto itself. We collected many excellent ideas from each venue for the pond and garden that we plan to create in the future. Each property owner was so generous with his or her time and with the advice they were willing to share with us, complete strangers. Thanks also to the Silver Lake Nature Center Pond Tour Committee for doing such an excellent job organizing the event. We look forward to attending future tours!
